Rediscovering Truths and Healing with Jessica Sutta: A Journey from Fame to Advocacy
I’m incredibly thrilled to share with you an inspiring conversation with an old friend, Jessica Sutta. Jessica is a name many of you might recognize from the iconic pop group, the Pussycat Dolls, but today she’s here to open up about a new chapter in her life—one that encompasses motherhood, vaccine injury advocacy, and raw personal truths.
A Nostalgic Trip Down Memory Lane
Jessica and I met lifetimes ago, back in 2002, during the filming of a Swedish soap opera in Miami. Those were some of the most memorable times because we were both just starting out, carving paths that we had no idea would lead to such monumental experiences. We laughed about our roles and reminisced with a photo of us on set. Coincidentally, Megan Fox was also in that show, and it’s wild how many famous faces emerged from that project.
Life as a Pussycat Doll
Jessica’s journey took a dramatic turn post the soap opera days. She moved to Los Angeles, aiming for an acting career but eventually found herself becoming part of the Pussycat Dolls. With the group’s massive success, Jessica found herself on stages worldwide, savoring the incomparable high of performing live. However, amid the glitter and glam, she began to lose touch with her true self. Hollywood can do that—it can inflate your ego, but also make you feel incredibly small.
From Stardom to Reality
The group disbanded in 2009, and Jessica ventured into solo projects. Although not as mainstream successful, these projects kept her connected to her love for dance and music. But she felt something was missing. When the Pussycat Dolls reunited in 2018, she realized that the magic was gone. It just wasn’t the same. By February 2020, she could see the writing on the wall. When COVID hit and borders started closing, it became clear that her priorities had shifted.
Motherhood and A New Purpose
Jessica found profound happiness in becoming a mother to her son, MJ. Holding her child for the first time brought her a sense of purpose she had never experienced on stage. “There’s no way in hell I’m going back to the Pussycat Dolls,” she told herself. She had discovered what truly mattered—family, health, and that deep connection to her authentic self.
A Life-Altering Experience with Vaccine Injury
In August 2021, Jessica experienced a severe vaccine injury from the Moderna shot, leading her to become a vocal advocate for others suffering similar fates. Her journey through immense pain, hospital visits, and societal gaslighting—where people didn’t believe her pain—pushed her to her knees. “I realized then and there what was most important in life,” she shared. Health, happiness, family, and living close to God became her new mantras.
Jessica’s advocacy work led her to React19, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping victims of vaccine injuries and their families. Amid all the suffering, she found a supportive community that understood her plight, providing a lifeline she desperately needed.
Facing the Matrix: Speaking Your Truth
Jessica’s decision to speak out publicly about her vaccine injury was not easy, especially in an environment as scrutinizing as Hollywood. Despite the backlash, she felt it was essential to share her story, to validate the experiences of others, and to hold accountable those responsible for these adverse effects.
She found herself further distanced from the mainstream narrative but closer to what she believed was her divine purpose. “This is my God-given role,” she affirmed. Her voice, once used to entertain millions, now serves to enlighten and protect others from the same fate.
Finding Inner Peace and Community
Jessica and I both found solace away from Hollywood’s glamorous yet suffocating grip. Living in the South now, we’ve come to cherish the simplicity and sincerity of life, far removed from the external validations we once sought. It’s a reminder that true beauty lies in authenticity, in the courage to speak our truths, and in the communities we build around us.
This episode holds a special place in my heart because it encapsulates the journey of rediscovery, of finding oneself amidst the chaos and pressures of life. Jessica’s story is a testament to the power of resilience, faith, and the incredible strength it takes to redefine your truth.
Thank you for joining me on this deeply touching episode of Misunderstood. I hope it resonates with you as much as it did with me. Until next time, stay authentic, stay strong, and keep seeking your truth.

Meet the Host
Candace Van Dell
As a Spiritual Coach & New Thought Leader, Candace focuses on a soul-centered approach to healing. It is her belief that many of our negative “symptoms” are signs that we are out of alignment with our true selves. We have been conditioned to align with external authorities, societal ideals, out of date learning styles and perfectionistic standards.
We can’t experience or maintain true health unless we are true to ourselves. To clear unwanted symptoms, we must get back into alignment with what we FEEL.
“We are not humans having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience.”
